2016 Winning Entry – 55 Hide Hill
This was formerly known as Youngman’s Corner and for many years was one of Berwick’s worst eyesores. Park Portfolio have constructed a much acclaimed development on the site which includes apartments on the upper levels and a restaurant and small shops at ground level. Demolition of the former showroom roof at the front allowed the creation of an attractive courtyard, which could provide an intimate outdoor eating area.
There was a good number of voting returns from Members and the competition was close but the Park Folio development was judged to have significantly improved the appearance of this prominent location in Hide Hill.
